Rebecca Johnson, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVAA, is a research anesthesiologist and clinical professor of anesthesia and pain management at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Johnson earned her DVM from The Ohio State University. She also completed a residency and earned her MS and PhD in respiratory neurophysiology at University of Wisconsin. Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests include anesthetic and analgesic techniques for laboratory animal species and the effects of opioid and nonopioid analgesics on the GI and respiratory systems of companion animals.
