Jarod Hanson, DVM, PhD, DACVPM, is a veterinary virologist, public health consultant, and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He earned a DVM from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in Infectious Diseases from the University of Georgia. His work has focused on influenza A virus infection dynamics among species, and swine population health and disease eradication programs. Dr. Hanson also serves as an associate editor for ProMED-mail.
