This comprehensive webinar will provide veterinary professionals with a deep dive into the world of canine parasitology, with a special focus on ticks and zoonotic tick-borne pathogens of veterinary and public health importance. Dr. Kathryn Reif will review common and emerging external (ie, ticks and fleas) and internal (ie, hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, heartworms) canine parasites. Emerging and expanding tick and tick-borne pathogen threats will be highlighted, as will the timing and implications of pathogen transmission by ticks and shared public health concerns. Dr. Reif will also present the results of a recent study on tick speed of kill by isoxazolines and introduce a recently approved broad-spectrum parasite control product for dogs.
