James Howard, DVM, MS, is a 2014 graduate of The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine where he also completed his surgical residency. James recently joined the surgery faculty at OSU. His research interests include feline and canine orthopedics, minimally invasive surgery, pain management, and veterinary pharmacology.
FUN FACT: James’ favorite activities include hiking, fishing, camping, and watersports.
Nina Kieves, DVM, DACVS, DACVSMR, is an assistant professor of small animal orthopedic surgery and director of the sports medicine and rehabilitation service at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota and is a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. Nina lectures on orthopedic and rehabilitation topics nationally and internationally and is actively involved in teaching orthopedic surgery through AOVet and arthroscopy with Arthrex Vet Systems. Her research interests lie in sports medicine and rehabilitation and surgical treatment using minimally invasive techniques.
FUN FACT: Nina enjoys being active and won 3 ice hockey national championships while in college.
