Alonso Guedes, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVAA, is an associate professor of veterinary anesthesia and pain medicine at University of Minnesota, where he also earned his PhD. Dr. Guedes earned his DVM and MS at University of Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. His research program focuses on identifying molecules that help the body control pain and restore health to injured tissues.
