About This Course

Use of the Companion Animal Parasite Council's prevalence maps, regional data, and knowledge of intestinal parasite life cycles can help create an effective preventive protocol to keep canine and feline patients safe and healthy. In this online veterinary CE event, Dr. Craig Prior, BVSc, CVJ, will review this data and share methods to better engage clients year-round in an "every pet tested, every pet protected" strategy. Dr. Prior will also review clinic options for intestinal parasite screening, considering cost, sensitivity, zoonotic implications, veterinary technician efficiency, and more. He will also appraise how molecular diagnostics can be applied to GI parasite screening, with a focus on how to interpret results.
