Maureen Anderson, DVM, DVSc, PhD, DACVIM, is a lead veterinarian-animal health and welfare at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, where she works in areas bridging animal and public health, including infection control. A graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), she spent time in mixed animal practice before returning to OVC to complete a residency and board certification in large animal internal medicine. She has continued to work in the field of veterinary infectious disease control, particularly hand hygiene. She completed her PhD in the spring of 2013 at University of Guelph.
FUN FACT: In her off time, Maureen has been a long-time member of 2 local community choirs.
