Individual states may include additional requirements, such as specific hourly requirements for various topics and types of credit. States have varying license renewal periods and deadlines for continuing education. Some states that do not require licensed veterinary technicians to complete continuing education may have voluntary veterinary technician associations with continuing education requirements for membership.
